Earlier this week, the Minister of Industry Energy and Tourism, Katrin Júliusdóttir awarded Berthora Gudnadottir designer and co-owner of Farmers Market for her design work.
We just released a new piece that we named Hof. The idea was to merge a poncho, anorak and cape into one piece. Perhaps a some sort of “Little Red Riding Hood goes to Iceland” vibe?

New York based design website features Farmers Market design studio/boutique in their interior design “sneek peeks” this week.
We’ll be exhibiting Farmers Market’s fall/winter collection 2009-2010 at CPH Vision in Copenhagen February 7-10th.
Our main Reykjavik reseller, Kisan Concept Store has just expanded to New York.
We were quite surprised when American entrepreneur and TV icon Martha Stewart dropped by our Reykjavik studio the other day.
Wall Street Journal published an article about Farmers Market and a few other Icelandic designers/shops.
We have now added a new shawl “Oxl” to our collection.
We are happy to announce that Danish prince Christian Valdemar Henri John and princesse Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe are now owners of Farmers Market kids sweaters Litla-Brekka and Litla-Fljot.
We have added three new sweaters to our collection: Litla-Fljot (childrens), Stora-Fljot and a button-front version of the sweater Fell.
We’ve also added a white version of the arctic hat Thufa.
Farmers Market – Iceland has been chosen as Finalist of ISPO’s Brand New Awards in Munich, Germany January 27-30.
Farmers Market – Iceland is a “carbon offset company”. That is, in collaboration with the Icelandic Carbon Fund we have offset our transportation-related CO2 emissions.
